When you say "down" do you mean apache service or the server is unreachable at all (ping/ssh/ftp/mail)? I show luna has been up for 11 days, 19 hours, 42 minutes? I'm trying to gather information on what you are/aren't seeing here.

Les, dont take us for mugs!

"down" means nothing is accessable! Down is the norm for us, we have more down time than we do up time!

Your information is wrong, my websites go down daily!

Probably has something to do with the fact that the server load is never out of the red or not at least for the past week!

Either someone is clearly abusing the resources or JAG are jam packing the servers.

    Cutting corners is my guess!

Hey slick. Thought you were gone by now. I notice you like the other two posters who are complaining do not have a website listed in your profile.

If you and others users who are reporting problems had a site listed in your profile, some of us might be able to verify if the site is down, or if the problem is on your end.

    Oh Connie my friend....or NOT

Sticking your nose in once again, why would you need to have my websites in my sig for other forum members to verify? Every time my sites go down i submit a ticket and the techies check my websites!

The problem is not at my end because every other site works exept the ones hosted at JAG. Plus the first thing i do is check the network status which 99% of the time has at least one red light!

Do you think i am stupid? You have a go at me saying i jump on other peoples threads when its nothing to do with me....Hypocrit.

Who is acting like a 16 year old now?

Matt's right. Personal Attacks are out of order.

Slick, my information is not incorrect. Here is uptime/load top right now on Luna:

    top - 19:38:04 up 12 days, 4:11, 2 users, load average: 1.58, 3.72, 3.96

I'm NOT saying there are or aren't problems, I was asking what clients who are saying there are problems are seeing. I.e. are you seeing problems with only httpd/mail/ftp/ssh or what?

It varies Les, one minute it would be httpd, the next it would be all of them on red. 99% of the time their is at least one red light.

The worst, which is more than likely causing these problems is the CPU usage which for the last week has been permenantly in the red.

Support have a new trick now, they assign a ticket and wait until the sites are back up and then post with something like "oh i can see your sites fine" !

The last 3 or 4 tickets have gone unanswered until a few minutes after the sites come back online, each time stating they are down, coincidence!?

I understand it must be stressful for the support staff and i know it aint there fault but we are getting ear ache just as much as them from our clients!

PS - Nice blog connie, i just happen to be one of those Internet marketers that setup and "spam" the search engines with hundereds of "adsense" websites With the only intention of making a quick buck! I must say though with an average of $4500 every month i aint gonna complain.
Ask yourself this, why do people use the internet? For information right, well ALL my "adsense" websites are very content rich sites which provide very useful "information", they are all using relevant keywords so the only people that come accross the sites are people searching for that specific information.
Always remember, when it comes to SERPS ranking "content is king"!
