www.jaguarpc.com was down for me for a while and while it's now accessable, I can't see my site or a couple other Jag hosted sites. Just curious what's going on if anything. Doug

Here's what I'm seeing in the Network Status page
Warning: main(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Temporary failure in name resolution in /chroot/home/jaguarpc/www/newjpc/support/status.php on line 63

I raised a ticket as soon as it was back up, service told me there were network problems, and the outage was about an hour. As far as I was concerned, it was more than two hours. I'm not sure how long, it could have been well before I tried to access it.
Oddly enough, a traceroute on my DNS worked, although my site was not accessible; but a traceroute on jaguarpc.com failed 'unable to resolve'.
I'm a new customer, and I've been considering upgrading to 'reseller'. I'm starting to wonder however about JaguarPC's slogan 'JaguarPC - The worlds most reliable end-to-end hosting solutions provider'.
I don't know, my site (wazu.jp) is on gibson. How do I determine what Center that's at?just for my own information, what Datacenter are you located in, Atlanta or Houston?
You're in Atlanta...

Your in Atlanta
While Jag says the network there is faster than Houston, to me it is proving to be FAR less reliable.
Houston is where I am at is where most of the JPC servers are at, they only started adding atlanta recently.
I think the JPC web site is in atlanta now as well, but I am not sure, I cant get a good trace on it right now, so appearently the network or DNS issuses are not solved compeltely yet
Heh! Never assume...

i did not 'assume' anything, DNS stuff is now alble to trace, it did not before, I still cant trace from here
However, thanks for the trace, as it CONFIRMS my assertion from another thread that atlanta sucks![]()
Once Again, why do people disagree with me, they know I am always right![]()

Thanks VIN DSL.
I had tried a tracerout, but it didn't help:

With hindsight, perhaps 'atl01.pccwbtn.net' tells me Atlanta?
some traces will not resolve the host name like Vin's did,
when that happens us http://www.dnsstuff.com/ ip to city look up,
you cant however us the servers IP because Jag owns their own IP block so all ARIN info listed as houston. Use the IP address of the Hop right before you server and you will get Atlanta.
