You mean people using proxies to browse your site?
I am an advocate of things like Torpark, so I don't block proxies. I kinda figured you'ld be into anonymous surfing too. Sorry if I had you misconstrued. ;o)
I'm not sure how referal spam is related to proxies though. You'll get it with or without proxies. The solution, in my opinion, is to just not publish your logs, and to filter requests for blank.gif from your traffic analysers.
