Downtime can be expected with any host. Servers fail, that's a fact of life. The only way to guarantee 100% uptime for a site is to host it on multiple servers in multiple data centers, which comes at a premium cost and adds a new level of technical complexity to your hosting.

So the short answer to your question is, yes, I have had downtime a few times. Usually it is minor--no more than a few minutes. If a server gets rebooted and requires a FSCK (filesystem check) then it can be down for a couple of hours and this happens sometimes, especially when hard drives fail (and, since they contain moving parts, this is a common point of failure on any server). JPC is among the best of all the hosts I've worked with at getting servers back to working order quickly. If a server is down more than a few minutes it is because either the problem is tricky and the techs are having trouble finding what's wrong or because the dreaded FSCK is in progress. Servers are never down just because no one has bothered to check on the problem.

Customer support is top notch. Most tickets are answered within minutes and resolved within an hour. And yes, support is 24/7.

I'll have been here six years in April and I have no intentions of moving anytime soon.

    This place is the best!

Look at my sig and you will see my uptime during the last 30 days. It's a running total, and a live stat. You can expect the same uptime at JagPC. Click on that icon, and it will take you to the host tracking site. There, you can see complete stats for the last year.

Ignore October 2006! That's when they shut down my site because I was using too many resources on a shared server, causing everyone else's site to run slowly. On face value, this might not SEEM like a good thing. However, I'm sure the other ppl on Platinum were happy about it.

You see, that's just one of the great things about this place. They are constantly monitoring their servers, and are NOT going to let one person mess it up for everyone else. If you are on a shared server, and one of your neighbors is causing problems for you, they WILL take care of the situation. Kapeesh?

Anyway, you can't beat this place, in my book. If I could find a better host, I wouldn't be here -- and I've been here going on 4 years. I guess that says it all...

My experience with JaguarPC.... hmmm.... Very Satisfied!

Support is 24/7 and good all the time, but when it is Houston, TX USA time during the day you will not get better support anywhere!

One thing that customers need to know and Jag needs to do a better job of explaining is the roles and differences between Support and Sales. Support is 24/7 - but sales is not. There are things that sales need to do from time to time that support can not do. If you do not know these things it can be frustrating to you if you are expecting support to do something that sales has to do (licensing for example).

One of the greatest things about JaguarPC in my opinion is the fact that this forum exists and is so open. For crying out loud name how many hosting companies you can gripe to the owner about and get answers? Not many. Well here the owner is one of us! I like that much... A dissenting voice is listened to and reasoned with...

I have been here one year as of today. My sites have been up 99% of the time. Recently for 56 days that I had my sites monitored by host-tracker it was 100%

When I first came here in January 2006 I had things up and running. I left the good ole USA and took a trip to Bulgaria and Turkey. Something went array with my sites and the backup Jag had was corrupt. My assistant who was watching the sites for me and who has minimal server experience contacted Jag about the sites being down. Support did all the work (I had backups on another server remotely) and support got everything up and running smoothly. One email from Turkey and all was well! Support went above the call of duty and I never did ask what happened! ha ha Hey what happened Massood... j/k

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

I dont use any Cert.... Never have on thelibertyreport no need, I dont see anything or Collect any Data....

I had a site attached to that account about 2 years ago that I sold Mobile Electronics(car Audio) but I sold that off along with a couple other sites....

Now it is just a hobby instead of a business

For my Real job I get to deal with people that dont even know what icons are (got to love Software support)

    Didnt get you by gigadeal.

    However, who is hosting shared?
With Shared, we can just host 1 Website with 1 Plan
or can share 3-6 Sites together?

    Advice
