    Exclamation Need help, how to set smtp authentication

    Can anybody show how to set smtp authentication for exim (mail server) I don't want use pop before smtp. I want every email send through mail server require smtp authentication. They need provide username and password same as when receiving mail

    yes. cpanel. I don't want use pop before smtp. I just set smtp authentication. pop before smtp not require password. When I tried, I just send and receive and just cancel when email client prompt password then the mail can be send although it fail pop process.

    It's work now. I just restart exim service after change pop before smtp setting.

    You can simply disable pop before smtp in "tweak settings" in WHM. SMTP authentication is enabled by default.
