    Javascript

I signed up for one year for a DEHE Business class Linux server. I moved my website from a dedicated server at another hosting co to this server.

Ever since the site has been ailing, with my Alexa rating plummeting from 79,000 to 360,000. It is probably because I allowed to subsitite my real entry page( which runs Javascript) with a tempory simple entry page with is not as attractive.

Is there any way I can run a Javascript at DEHE Business server so that I can restore my entery page? Except for this, DEHE is fantastic host and it has been reliable and fast.
    Thanks,
    Chase

    Hi croh,

Javascript is clientside coding. That means it will be downloaded to the clients computer and run there. So you can run javascript out of the box on a DEHE VPS.

I think you *may* mean Java but not sure how to set that up as i have never used it.

    Thanks Paul,
You are right. I should have said that there is Java applications to be run in the server. So I guess I would need Tomcat in my server(?). and apparently it's hard to do with Business Server.

Is there a way to run Tomcat in DEHE Business class server or is there some way to run Java application in my server even without Tomcat?

    Thanks for the help,

    Hi croh,

You can definitely run Tomcat on a business VPS, just keep in mind that it requires quite a lot of ram so if the usage gets really high you may need to upgrade in that case.
