    Joomla 1.5 plans, PHP4 elimination.

Is it safe to say JPC plans to making it possible to upgrade Joomla to 1.5 as soon as a suitable stable version can be added to Fantasico?

Also, is there any general timeline as to when PHP4 will be put to pasture?

    I see Joomla1.5RC2 is available (Production/Stable supposedly)...

Oh, well, no biggy for me, 'cuase I didn't have any content anyway! However, I think it's "say to say JPC" is going to have to come up with some sort of script if they plan to upgrade existing Joomla users to 1.5...

The Joomla web site said there is NO UPGRADE PATH to 1.5!

WoW! This version is totally different! Looks great!

PHP4 security updates will last only till 08.08.08, so I suppose it can and will stay around till then, but after that it can end at any time, i.e. it has to end as soon as the first serious security hole has been found. So, plan to be done with PHP4 no later than 08.08.08.
