Sites down many times throughout the day

I am managing an addon domain under a main GigaDeal account. The account domain is lancastria.net (a friend has this account), which is on libra.nocdirect.com. The add on domain is ooszone.co.uk. The sites are continually down. I will be in the middle of FTPing a script update and the site disappears. It can stay down for moments or many minutes at a time. This is happening all of the time. It's getting quite ridiculous how much the site 'whites out' actually.

What is happening with this server? Please can you fix it. It's driving us (the people that use the facilities) balmy with frustration.

Are you saying HTTP or FTP is disappearing? Or both?

When this happens, does your primary site disappear too? Or just the multi-hosted domain?

Both! HTTP and FTP go down...and both primary and add on domains can't be accessed.

Sorry for asking so many questions, but...

Are you checking the Network Status page when this happens?

    Perhaps its a localized problem...

Well, I haven't been doing it in sync with the 'site out's, but I have been looking at the server status. Always shows as up/green. But as I said, havn't been checking in sync with the outages.

Since you're up n' down all the time, check the status page when this happens -- it doesn't lie!

If it's always green, the problem is elsewhere - perhaps a flaky router blade between you and the NOC, or whatever.

    Gotta run! BBL
