Is there any reason why using POP3 e-mail through Outlook would be working, and then suddenly stop working? Using webmail actually works, but outlook doesn't allow me to send or receive.

check your username and make sure you are using the complete email address as the username... also check the pop3 and smtp servers and make sure they are correct, they should be yourdomain.com... also see if ssl is enabled on pop3 or smtp as i think you need that disabled... i am using google apps for email so i am not 100% sure about the ssl

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once every few weeks.
My scripts never have bugs. They just develop random features.
well, the weird thing is that it was working all of 15 minutes ago before it suddenly stopped working... I haven't changed any of the settings in outlook either.

ah ok, i didn't think that had started yet, so I wasn't sure... guess i'll just wait it out. Thanks!
nevermind... timezones mixed up... the maintenance is at 10 CST... im an hour ahead on EST... give it until the morning and if it is still acting up, open a support ticket... if you havent altered any settings then it should still work

heh well, i've only had it working for the day since i just bought server space from jaguarpc yesterday and i've been transitioning things over to this server.
ahhh ok.. i thought you've been here for a while and it has worked for some time now!
well.. Welcome to Jag!
try logging into the cpanel webmail with the account in question and hit configure email client... it should guide you through an auto config process for outlook to get the correct settings

this is an off topic question, but is there a reason why i can't access cpanel when i type www.domainname.com:2082 instead of domainname.com:2082?
the www seems to throw it off...
good question.. ive never noticed.. i always access it by going to www.domain.com/cpanel which is easier than remembering the port number... the only time i use a port number is if i am logging in as root

hmm, www.domain.com/cpanel doesn't seem to work for me... it just brings me to my site.
heh but domain.com/cpanel does work... really weird.
ok so i just tried getting to my cpanel from www.domain.com:2082 and it worked fine... this one i am not sure of, why it will not work for you... since the www is simply a CNAME of domain.com![]()
