    Change domain name

I want to change the domain name i am using with my gigadeal account

When i try this from my client area it gives me this error
"This feature has been temporarily disabled, please contact support to request this change.2"

How do i get around this?

Also, what would happen if the domain i am using with the account is no longer pointed to jaguarpc? Would that affect the other sites i have in my account (these are add-on domains)?

    Thanks

No, that should not affect the other sites on your account...

I do this on several shared accounts I have all over the place for dev, backup mail, vps backups, etc...

I have the same domain on about 4 accounts around the web, but then i go back and use a subdomain and add it as an addon domain.

    Hopefully that doesnt sound confusing...

But it will not affect your addons in any way.

As for the website addy change, talk to support. AFAIK you can't do it. and IIRC then your account will also have to be recreated.

But, like I said, talk to support. Open a ticket and they will get you sorted out in no time!

Just open a support ticket and support can take care of it in no time.

As for your second question, your server has no way of knowing whether the DNS is pointing at it or somewhere else, so moving a site from the server won't have any immeadiate effect on the other sites there. Where you will see an issue, however, is when a site within JPC's network tries to access that site. For example, suppose I send you an email from a JPC-hosted account. Since the JPC DNS servers will still think they are authoritative for the domain they won't look up the new IP but instead will route the request. to your current IP address. If you leave the site as-is on the current server it will accept the message and deliver it to your mailbox, but since you've abandoned that site and no longer check mail there you'll never see it.

Your best bet is to ask support to shuffle your domains however you need them to do it, then ask them to remove any references to the domain you are moving from their DNS servers.
