Should I request a server switch?

This is beginning to drive me crazy. The amount of times that the particular server I am on flakes out is occurring too frequently for my tastes. I have links to my content on other sites and when my sites can't be reached, that means missing content elsewhere.

Should I take the increasing frequency of problems that I'm noticing a sign that I should move?
I am going to backup my dbs just in case.

    That's fine, but...

    I know what you're thinking!

"Are my sites the ones flaking out the server?"

Well, to tell you the truth, in all the excitement, I'll bet Tech Support lost track.

But, being as this is the best discount web host in the world, you've got to ask yourself a question...

    Do I feel lucky?

    Well, do ya, punk?

haha as always Vinnie has his way with words....

Shared hosting is just that shared hosting. It is impossible to have perfect uptime with shared hosting - IMPOSSIBLE! I do not care what host you go to. All bulk inexpensive hosts have the same problem. There are more and even bigger that have way more problems than here. I have been at some. I shall remain here!

Get a dedicated server and control your own environment if you want perfect uptime on the server and services.

Even the SDX package with all its power is still shared hosting and no one can predict what scripts a domain owner on the server will install and cause problems. The problem happens, support tries to figure it out and fixes or removes the rogue domain and it happens all over again. It is a merry go round that never ends with shared hosting.

That is why shared hosting is so cheap. And it is cheap! What, 26 cents a day?

It is my opinion for 26 cents a day no one has the right to complain. Not chastising you for your post, just addressing the issue and adding some reason and common sense to the equation.

    Funny.

It can't be me. I don't think I'm that popular.

I think I feel a sense of entitlement because I've been here so long and usually this doesn't happen. The frequency of it is what's worrying me. In case anything happens I backed up yesterday.
