Jag blocked one of my sites, how to unblock after transfer?

They blocked a site on shared server due to using too much juice on the server. I transferred to a new server and I still get the "You don't have permission to access" message. How can I re-enable the site on the new server?

    Thanks

    Before I answer...

Are you 'Redempti@n' on WHT - the turd punk assbite that's knocking this place left-and-right?

Did you move to a new host?

Either way, why don't you ask support?
    Good luck

I am that turd as you refer, however before you try to knock me I think you have all seen my tickets and know I been more that reasonable. With that said, support told me how to do it and I ended up getting a dedicated with a different company.

PS. Nothing I have said is and exaggeration of my problems with jag, they need to get their act together if they are planning on staying in business for a long time. My opinion is that this is a competitive business and Jag has been cutting courners with support in order to remain competitive, that is not acceptable. I rather pay more money and receive better service.

I did not reply to this thread sooner as I been bussy moving my sites, they are all finally moved and things running smooth.

If that is the case, why are you still here?

I usually keep myself out of such posts but this one is interesting:

His complaint was that support had a difficult time with his move from whatever to SDX.

His main problem was his impatience in life and/or in dealing with support. He was trying to move sites around, did no planning for DNS migration (who in their right mind transfers DNS before work is done?) and it wound up taking 24 hours to get it done. Apparently he expected support to flip a switch and move different accounts around seamlessly.

While he does have a legitimate complaint in some areas, the first 11+ hours of the switch was his own fault as he failed to provide approval for the move for 7 hours, then accurate login credentials for 4 more hours.

I guess he expected support to be sitting on their hands waiting for his tickets (as evidenced by his first "Hey, who is working on this, I already changed my DNS" ticket) but it's ok to make support wait for 11 hours to get accurate answers for two questions, then blame them for taking a long time to do the work in moving a non-JAG-standard VPS configuration to a shared SDX server.

Seems to me the move would have gone more smoothly if he had multiple accounts open for a short overlap period and kept DNS pointing to his "old site" until the transfer was completed and successful. He would have had less stress, and might not have been insulting support in the middle of his move. LOL Bright idea, buddy.

Obviously you have not read all the different tickets and problems I had. Not once did I insult them, while I called them incompetent, I think that tittle rings true.

They had access to the VPS and as other mentioned on WHT they did not need my log in credentials, I provided those time and time again. The fact of the matter is that I explained time and time again that the site was not transfered properly as the DB was screwed what does DNS has to do with them unable to transfer a domain and messing the DB in the process in two separate instances?

Accurate answers? Hum lets see, my site is not working can you re-upload? What is not accurate about that? Their reply hours later, do you want us to delete the old site? Of course dam it, If I asked for the site to be re-uploaded then the other site will be deleted...

I am certain I will not be missed, but wake up and smell the coffee I was more than understanding, I saved all my tickets you want me to post them again? I guarantee you will get a headache and will have a hard time defending the low level technicians. I must note that once the tickets where escalated the main technicians did a great job and got my sites up and running in no time.

Anyhow why are we even debating this? It is all ancient history and I do wish everyone the best of luck with Jag, overall good company but crappy support when you put in your tickets, once escalated they are great...

    You're wasting your time, Ronnie!

He'd have to stop knowing that he's right all the time and the rest of the world is wrong - and, that'll never happen!

Man, this place sure acquired a bunch of losers in 2006! I hope he's the last of 'em...

    Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Redemption, you're missing the most important point.

If having your site up 24/7 is that critical to you, you need to take matters into your own hands and ensure, to the best of your abilities, minimal downtime. This is a budget hosting, this is not high-availability hosting. Service here is on the whole excellent. Your (mis)adventure happened to occur during a complex-wide upgrade that slowed response time somewhat. Even so, looking at the tickets linked to in this thread, you have to bear some of the responsibility in the time it took for tasks to be completed. At a minimum, it took you 7 hours to say "OK" when they asked you to confirm your old account deletion. I know you expected to put in the ticket and go to bed and everything would be transferred and running fine in the morning. That's not the way the IT biz works. Never has been, probably never will be.

As Vin suggests, live and learn.

Here comes that most important point...

You will learn that almost nothing in life goes perfectly smoothly. When it does it is cause for major celebration!

Next time, expect things to take some time, don't swap your DNS before things are set up and don't try to do it the absolutely cheapest way possible at the expense of complication. You'll have less aggravation.

Good luck to you, I hope you found your new host to be as responsive as you feel you deserve. Oh wait, I guess that didn't happen as you felt the need to come running to this forum to ask for help. LOL
    Good luck

lol If only your opinion mattered... However if demanding support makes me a looser then so be it.
