    500 Internal Server Error

I was wondering if anyone knew of any issues with the apache server? I use Gallery 2, and Wordpress on my webpage, and wpg2 to integrate the two. I haven't had any issues with wpg2 till I noticed tonight that I was getting the following message while trying to view my gallery with the plugin on:

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I haven't changed anything on my webpage in awhile, so I don't believe that I've screwed anything up. Any one have any suggestions?

Ensure that your .htaccess file doesn't have any php directives in it. While you're looking, I'll try to find the kb article on that.
    Good luck

hm, my .htaccess file is pretty clean. not sure that that is causing the problem. could this be a server side problem?

Also check your permissions as noted in the same KB article to ensure that you don't have any word writable directories (chmod 777). They aren't needed anymore and suPHP doesn't like them.

I should have also mentioned to go to CPanel and look at the error log for a better hint about what is happening.
    Good luck

heh without having changed anything, it now works. I'm guessing it was a server side issue...

Good to hear! Love it when that happens.

Next time don't listen to me, head straight for CPanel's error log
    Good luck
