Again, free upgrade in JaguarPC hosting plans...

I've just seen it... a new look in Jaguar's site, a new look in cPanel and unlimited disk space even in the cheapest hosting plan!

I haven't find any anounce yet, but i'm sure Greg will issue one soon. Curious to read more about "failover hosting".

    Thanks, and regards: Colossus

    Thank you, Greg :-)

By the way, the link to "failover hosting" in semi-dedicated page points to... semi-dedicated page.

    Regards: Colosus

PS: Sorry if I spoiled the surprise.

I thought you were going to announce free, lifetime, dedicated servers for everyone.

LOL see how well it works? You push that button, the A machine falls-over to the B machine and delivers up the page, pronto!

    LOL
    Good luck

I have purchased the sdx package with the coupon code SemiDed2008. It used to have 765GB monthly bandwidth. But now it is reduced to 600GB. I suppose this is due to the upgrade of sdx package, i.e. basic bandwidth increases from 510GB to 600GB. Will the coupon code (+50% free bandwidth) still apply on this new basic bandwidth?

These codes will no longer work I will roll out some new coupons tomorrow, in your case however we can move you back to the 765gb bandwidth but you cant have 50% ontop of the new plan

In my reseller account, the main account has been upgraded to the new disk limit. THANKS!

However, in WHM when I try to create an account it shows the old limit.

    This doesn't seem right...?

Edit: Mine has been fixed! Thanks folks!

That goes for my account as well: main reseller account has 25000 MB but the old limit is shown when trying to create an account.

You are welcome Ron. All the reseller plans on the reseller servers were upgraded , but as that plan is assigned to main account thus it is reflected on only main account. We are in process of upgrading each reseller's quotas to reflect the new plans, as this is a manual change it may take some time, but all reseller quotas will be upgraded in a day or two.

Hmm.. I'm a bit suspicious about that. I mean.. there has to be some mechanism to motivate people to empty out their "trash" occasionally, no? There's no such thing as a free lunch. What's the catch? New paragraph in the AUP somewhere?

More specifically: I had over 12GB permanently free on my hosting plan and intended to starting using that to backup my most important files from my home system, nicely far out of local harms way. Now in theory I could backup my entire system there, even if it be a terabyte. But on the other hand that can hardly be intended use of a JagPC webserver, so now I'm suddenly wondering what I can and cannot do; at what point does this start to hit the "fair use" clause there must no doubt be? I would be thrilled if I could keep some 20-30GB in backups there as it would save me all the repeated scrutinizing of what's important enough to make the cut, but if it might suddenly dissapear because of conflict with some vague policy, I'd much, much rather keep the 12 GB guaranteed..
    Regards,

There is no vague policy. If you login to your cpanel, click on "Get More Disk Space", it says: You can get as much disk space as you want for your website use, as long as this space is not used for any illegal activities or backups as per our Terms of Service/Acceptable Usage Policy available on our website.
And when you go check the TOS on our website, it is all in clear, e.g. You may not use your shared or semi-dedicated accounts for file storage of other accounts, backups, storing backups of dvd's, mp3's, or any files larger than 150mb.
