Since wanadoo is checking rdns when receiving mail from my system, I've opened a support ticket asking for a rdns of my main ip.
The problem is that someone from the support staff has misconfigured the host file, so when testing:
# dnsname 69.73.133.94
vps.bythepool.net.73.69.in-addr.arpa
Since I'm not able to explain this to all the staff members (4 different people) that have "visited" my support ticket, I also asked to have the reverse dns delegated to my nameservers, that are correctly configured:
# dnsq ptr 94.133.73.69.in-addr.arpa ns1.bythepool.net
12 94.133.73.69.in-addr.arpa:
142 bytes, 1+1+2+2 records, response, authoritative, noerror
query: 12 94.133.73.69.in-addr.arpa
answer: 94.133.73.69.in-addr.arpa 86400 PTR vps.bythepool.net
authority: 94.133.73.69.in-addr.arpa 86400 NS ns1.bythepool.net
authority: 94.133.73.69.in-addr.arpa 86400 NS ns2.bythepool.net
additional: ns1.bythepool.net 14400 A 69.73.189.145
additional: ns2.bythepool.net 14400 A 69.73.154.109
but this is also impossible, since rdns delegation can't be done in jaguarpc (I thought that classess reverse delegation has existed for years), or at least, that is what a staff member told me.
Can anyone (even VinDsltell me if I'm terrible wrong, or if i'm asking impossible configurations?
The ticket number, if someone from staff wants to have a look: 12700853.
