I don't really see how that is a DDoS attack, what makes you say that? Having a lot of users on your forums like this is normal, usually they are spiders from search engines or other services.

A true DDoS attack would have made it so you wouldn't be able to see that page, your web site would have been totally shut down. And that would have taken a lot more than a few users online at the same time.

Prevention is the best cure! However...

Doing a quick search, here are some useful ideas: http://bobcares.com/article33.html

If nothing else, shut your site down for a while!

In my experience, ASPs will only tolerate these attacks for so long - then they'll suspend YOUR account - so I'd get a handle on it ASAP...

Hi guys, I'm the other owner of this account...
@thehotweb, that screen shot does not indeed prove that the site is under DDoS attacks, anyways I have confirmed that the site is being attacked by one. Some crazy yahoo world guys are tryin to shut the site down, and obviously I'm kinda helpless against them at the moment since they have very powerful internet connections as compared to my 10 Mbps one!
@Vin DSL, honestly I have absolutely no experience with Unix commands and this page is not gonna help me that much, anywayz I'll try to do what it says.

I'm hoping to JPC to help out a little bit around here coz as some ppl told me, this attack as gonna last for atleast 12 more days!, these ppl already made my site stop for a day and have slowed it down for the last week. Any help is very welcomed JAG !!

Open a support ticket, I'm sure they will help you out.

I wish you were on windows so I could ask you to do a packet trace. But by what you describe, that they are using HTTP to attack you, I don't know that it's that serious of an attack, maybe some simple firewall IP blocks would stop it. Talk to jag about it, good luck.
