Arrow Rayzz and Social Media Questions

    Hi folks,

Newbie here, and have few questions if anybody can answer for me etc.

Questions do anybody running Rayzz and Social Media on SDX?
Please can you tell me plus or minus with SDX? Maybe see some link examples?
I have been told that SDX has more resources than a VPS and you can’t use red5.
So, SDX should load nicely because more resources?

I found this site http://vballclips.com/ in the forum using SDX and load nicely. The script is from clipshare.

    Regards,

I've never used either of the apps you're asking about, so I can't help you there. I can offer you a comparison between SDX and VPS, however.

SDX servers are shared servers. Hardware-wise they have very similar (if not identical) specs to the servers that GigaDeal accounts are set up on. The difference is that way-fewer accounts are placed on SDX servers (about 10% of the number on a typical shared server, I believe). There are no resource limits on these servers per se--anyone can theoretically capture all of the server's processor and memory resources at any time (though if you were to do this regularly you'd be asked to move). The biggest block to you doing this, though, is that others on the server are also trying to grab those resources at the same time. With SDX there are fewer sites trying to get those resources, so there are more to go around. It is kind of like breaking open a pinata--the fewer people you have grabbing for candy, the more candy each person is likely to get.

A VPS server is partitioned into individual pieces and each piece is basically running as a separate server with its own operating system, services, etc. The nice thing about VPS is that everyone on the server has full control of the environment--root (server administrative) access, the ability to run software/services not supported by JPC on shared servers, the ability to create accounts at-will, etc. The downside is that there is a lot of duplicate processes running on the server as a whole. If an SDX and VPS server, both having identical hardware specs, were both loaded with ten identical sites (same web sites and traffic levels) the resource usage on the VPS would be much higher. The SDX box would have one OS, one Apache install, one mail server, one MySQL service, one cPanel, etc. The VPS would have 11 OS installs (the base plus one for each account), 10 Apaches, 10 MySQLs, 10 cPanels, etc.

Long story short--go with SDX if you need resources, go with VPS if you need flexibility. Most sites need the resources more than the flexibility. I've never used SDX myself, but I've heard nothing but great things from the people I know who do.
