    drupal, ubercart & linkpoint

Hi, I have a client hosted with jag that wants a cart on his (drupal) site. I've installed ubercart and installed the api for his payment gateway, but have run into a problem. The api (linkpoint) uses curl to transact with the processing server - but does so on port 1129. Has anyone had any luck getting this to work? I keep thinking others here must have this working with oscommerce, zencart or even ubercart, and im just missing something, as linkpoint is pretty big in the card processing business.

    Any advice would be appreciated

On such a high port, you are most likely blocked by the firewall. Support is probably willing to open that port for you. You can ask them via a ticket.

Sadly, it appears they're not willing I have two clients using Jag wanting a store, both with linkpoint - bugger.

That is not right. There must be some miscommunication. Make sure you tell them that you want outgoing port 1129 opened. Refer to my post here.

I've had to ask to have ports opened before and never had a problem with it. As Masood inferred, perhaps the tech that responded to you thought you were requesting the port be opened for inbound traffic, which is only necessary if you are hosting a custom service, which isn't allowed on the shared servers.
