    Angry Send Mail on SDX

Okay, Im desperate and looking for help. Already been working back and forth with tickets for the past 2 days and im getting nowhere (they are still at it). Maybe someone here can help.

My problem is with sendmail. I know there has been a security fix recently and that seems to be the problem. But im dead in the water and need to fix this ASAP already.

Im using MX from google.com. All email works fine. Except the ones sent from the script. They are sent from the domain where the script is located and some to the same domain, other to clients.

When you signup, you should get a verification email, (doesnt get sent). When you loose your password it should send you an email... Doesnt get sent.

People PAY to signup. And are begining to think I run a scam site. I need to get sendmail working again, and from what Ive been told, Im complying with all the new security rules. But its not working.

Anyone had this problem? Its been going on since thursday or so.
Over 60 people have paid to signup and none are getting in...

    Help.

After 2 days of stress... The patch has been taken offline since there is an issue with the external MX.

I hope they try it first before implementing it again.

Ive lost about 30 years of my life because of all this... Hope were prepared better next time or when they put it back online.

    Hi Juan ,

I have just replied your ticket as well. Please note that we have disabled it temporarily to accommodate you and analyze the patch specially for this scenario.
And ideally you should be using the external mail server to send the emails if your domain is using outside MX OR the domain you use for sending email should be the one which is also using Jaguar server for its email and not external MX.

I have had the same issues, and this does not only effect sendmail, but ANY EMAIL sent for ANY SERVER on the JPC Network, even SMTP Servers on the network

I use completely external DNS services (I never use 1 company for everything) and every time cpanel does something DNS records are added to the JPC Servers and I have to ask support to remove them so Internal network traffic slows properly

Sendmail should be obtaining the proper MX, but JPC's DNS servers are either not being updated properly or assume (incorrectly) that every domain will use JPC for all web services.

The problem with doing as you suggested is 2 fold

1> Using a script to send mail via Google App *may* be in violation of thier TOS.

2> It is VERY complex as google requires SMTP Auth and TLS/SSL Security at access the mail server. Many many many many people have problems getting a script to work

    Hi the_ancient,

Please open a support ticket for me with some test email account info and we will see if we can customize the patch with help of the admin who wrote the patch to make this work, and still keeping the main patch in place which is helping in stopping at least some spam from the server and thus helping in keeping our IPs clean.

I think it's a great idea. I hope you can make it work for all legit uses.
    Good luck
