Dre CSCS, we apologize for the inconvenience. We did get an alert for the server and as I see it, it is back up and running. We are monitoring the server and trying to find the cause of the downtime. If you continue to face issues, please open a ticket in support.

    Dre CSCS,

The server is running from secondary server now, we are investigating why the automatic failover didn't kick in , we had to manually switch it to secondary server and thus there was around 10 min downtime, we apologize for that.

Maybe it's like a Harley... you gotta kick it to start!

Out of curiosity, do these primary and secondary servers run in parallel? That is... does one mirror the other, in real time, then automatically switch-over through an alarm event, or whatever?

I don't understand the 'mechanics' of failover...

Yes they mirror each other in real time constantly staying in sync. When the heartbeat between the two fail the secondary is supposed to kick over and start serving. It's odd this didn't happen automatically yesterday on the server and our techs are working on figuring out why it did not function as designed.
