    Bandwidth not updating in CPanel

I realize there's a sticky with this issue, but the bandwidth written in CPanel has not moved since the 5/13. Webalizer hasn't updated either. I thought against opening a ticket since it sounds like they aren't being responded to.

I just installed AWStats, and now I can actually get meaningful, accurate stats, but I'm still not sure what my current bandwidth usage is.

How are you all calculating your bandwidth? I found the website.com-bytes_log file, but haven't gone about trying to add it up, if that's even the file I should be looking at. If you're using a parser, what's the name of it?

5/13? Consider yourself lucky. Mine (both bandwidth and webalizer) hasn't updated since MARCH.

my bandwidth is incorrect as well.

while I'm at it, diskspace too.

It's reporting only 1/2 of everything.

Okay I know it doesn't account for subdomains, but why not??? It's the first thing that people see when they log into their cpanel.. it shouldn't be "half-truths"

I don't visit the forum except out of necessity, so I only just noticed the sticky thread regarding disk space and bandwidth figures in the control panel. Personally I think the situation is ridiculous. It's the provider's responsibility to track usage accurately and provide this info, not the customer's. My phone company, electric company, gas company, former web host, and ISP don't expect me to download raw data, which may or may not be correct, and run an analysis program on it. If a service charges are based on gigabytes, then usage statistics should be provided in gigabytes and be accurate.

Personally my bandwidth/disk space figures seem to be updated regularly and I've always assumed they are correct. Now I'm concerned. I do hope no one has been charged overusage fees because of this situation (with the possible exception of a customer who uses five times their allowance and where it's blatantly obvious to them). Perhaps there are technical issues that are thwarting the implementation of a reliable system, but that's not the customer's fault.

If they dont, why even post limits... they could always use the ole unmetered bandwidth ploy.

A few days ago, noticed a thread by Celeron XL stating he had tried to upgrade his account because he knew it would surpass his alloted bandwidth limits... after 6 days of no reply his concern now is they are going to suspend his account verses charging him the overage.

I concur that the provider should insure the meters report accurately, among other features which are not working... or not being utilized.

As consumers, it should not be a JOB of ours to monitior the servers performance and report problems to Aletia... their are many programs written for that sole purpose.

Agreed, infact we would most probably have a legal case if one of our sites went down and resulted in loss of earnings

Lets hope Aletia notices, has anyone submitted a ticket?

I'm curious, what machine(s) are you all on? I'm on stingray and all my stats programs are up-to-date and I'm pretty sure it's reading my bandwidth and disk usage right.

In fact, when I sent in a ticket about my disk usage last week (I noticed a big jump and then a fall back down) I got a quick reply explaining that my new MySQL database was accounting for the fluctuations.

So has anyone tried sending in a support ticket?
