When Sites Get Hacked

Mercury has been down for almost a full day now. By email accounts are down, message board down, web sites down, ftp down, SSH down.

At the very least when an entire machine goes down for an extended period because of "maintenance" I think JagPC should provide a minimal backup plan to inform web visitors.

I don't think that redirecting all IP traffic for that address with a secondary machine simply stating that the site is down with an ETA of when will be up should be too much to ask.

I agree. Luckily, my site is a personal site with no traffic and not much content. I'm sure if I was depending on my site for my livelyhood I'd be a lot more angry.

I don't care that the server was down, I understand that things happen beyond our control, especially these days, but Jaguar should have at least sent out an e-mail notification.
