Okay! I give up! I worked 11 hours OT today...

...and I don't feel like playing '1000 Guesses.'

How do you log into the Clients Section? I did a search, and someone said to use the same user name and password you do for the Support Ticket system. That didn't work. Anyone know?

Ah, so I'm not the only one who can't figure out how to get in.

I tried my ticket system username and pass, and got a neither username nor password matched error. Using my site's username and password yielded just a password did not match error...

Use your site's username and password. If you have more than one site, it would most likely be the first site you set up that will do it, but if not, try each one until it works. If that doesn't work, open a support ticket. Then the Aletia merge happened, I remember a lot of people having trouble getting in.

The clinets section is accessible from a link at the top of the page, or from ths URL: https://secure.jaguarpc.com/clients/

    Good luck...

    Client Login

    Vin,

I had this problem too a few months ago when they moved me from Aletia to JaguarPC. They have a separate login/pass for clients. I think it is maintained by Billing.

I would email them (perhaps at billing@jaguarpc.com ??) or open a ticket for your inquiry. You'll probably have to prove who you are (Credit Card name, number, telephone number, etc.)

I don't have the original password anymore, I've reformatted since I signed up.. I sent in a support ticket hours ago, and have not yet gotten a response.

tickets wont get a 15minute response right now like you may be used to. With the recent hacked sites events support is slower than normal but we will still do our best to deliver the 24 hr response we promise.

    Hello,

I was hoping I wouldn't loss my databases info. I do backups everyday but I don't download it.

Anyways, the only thing missing are my admin folders. They weren't restored. All of them. Do you know why?

No, I didnt do the backups or the restores. Please open a ticket to see if we may have that data for you. Also its very critical that every client make regular backups of their sites and data and that include mysql dumps.

If backups were rooted or exploited in some way we would have to rely on the clients to restore their sites data.

Read and heed his advice! Backups have saved my (rear side) more times than I care to remember --- the lastest being a couple of weeks ago when I 'joined' here. My former host lost my credit card info, and auto-renewal failed. Instead, they locked the account, with a nasty message displayed on our site for the world to see --- not unlike the recent defacements on servers here. So, I thought the H with them and signed up on JagPC. Without the backup[s] I would have been shafted BIG TIME --- and that was by my former host. Hello!?!?!?

It's a V easy thing to do. Just make a folder on your local hard drive, FTP into your site, and copy the entire structure from their server to your PC. Example in next post:

Yep, and it's also a great way to waste 500 MB of bandwidth.

A word to the wise, Toly... (you too CeleronXL )

I don't know what JagPC's policy is on file recovery, but MANY hosts charge you for this service. It's a time-consuming, labor-intensive process to isolate and restore a single 35K file out of a 100GB backup, or whatever.

This is one of those areas where YOU have to read the 'fine print.' My former host did daily backups, but if YOU needed to have your site restored, as in YOU accidently erased something, they charged $200/hour for that service.

When ppl sign up with a host, daily backups sound great, and they assume its free, but at most web hosting places, this is a value-added service and will cost you an arm 'n' leg. Still, in an emergency, it's better to pay a toll than to lose your site, no? The point is, you're better off not getting into that position in the first place.

Anyway, the best way to handle backup 'n' restores is to simply do it yourself. Don't depend on others to CYA...

We charge $15 per file/or $75hr (whichever is greatest) to recover something from a backup .
