    Postnuke timezone problems

    Hey all

I just installed Postnuke using Aletia's auto-installer and the time seems to be off by +2 hours. Is there a simple way to fix this without having my members put in the wrong timezone? I'm guessing there's a php file or something I can edit.

And another question while I'm here.. this seems to be an older version of Postnuke, so will the newer blocks and modules posted on the official site still work? I tried dropping something in to the blocks directory before, but whenever I click "New block" I get the error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare blocks_php_block() (previously declared in /home/hiphopne/public_html/postnuke/includes/blocks/phpscript.php:43) in /home/hiphopne/public_html/postnuke/includes/blocks/php.php on line 44

    Am I doing something wrong?

And one last question since I'm posting - I really want to change the ratings scale for the reviews module to measure from 1-10 in .25 increments. Would someone want to try their hand at this? I'll pay for the service if absolutely necessary.

Timezones are my main issue though, so please help out with that at least!

    Thanks

I just installed PNuke solely to help you.

Log in with your admin account, and then go to Administration. Go to the Settings category, and in there, there's a time offset option.

You can probably download the newest pNuke and upgrade it if you wanted to get the newest version. I personally don't even trust CPanel installs because 9 times out of 10 they don't install right and they're very buggy. The install I did was using the files directly off of the postnuke site (http://www.postnuke.org). I'd recommend you did it this way instead of using Cpanel installs.

I'd be happy to help you run a clean install, not using the CPanel version, if you so wished.

To change the ratings scale would require some file hacking.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd be really grateful if you installed a new version for me. As buggy as the cpanel installs are, they at least work.

I tried installing the newest version and I remember it being a nightmare. My PHP skills are as basic as they get and I couldn't troubleshoot for the life of me.

I'm just a little concerned since I took so much time configuring the version I already had. But it shouldn't be a problem as long as I can find all the images and templates I need to save.

The timezone offset would be the obvious way to fix my main problem, but that's exactly it - I put in pacific time and it gives me central. And the problem gets even more complicated when I try compensating for it in my own user preferences. So I'm guessing one of the includes isn't properly configured.

As for ratings, I'm comfortable enough to go in and hack the files if I had instructions. I just don't actually know PHP, so I'd need someone to tell me how and I could probably do it myself. So if anyone else can help out, let me know!

    Thanks
    ~Vince

Nope, I haven't had any luck yet.

I don't think that link addressed my problem either. For me, it doesn't seem to matter what I set as my timezone, as the time displayed is always the one selected +2 hours.
