    subdomain question

    Hi ..

I have an existing domain, been resolved for a couple of months.

I have created a subdomain using the CP .. and put an index.html file in the subdomain.

But I am not able to access it as http://xyz.mydomain.com/ ...

I am only able to access it as http://www.mydomain.com/xyz/index.html

    Any ideas why?

I do have the CP create the subdirectory correct? when the subdomain is created, the directory is made then too? and then I put the index.html in it?

    Thanks..

for those with good memories: yah, I did ask this same 'dumb' question a few months ago about a different subdomain.. I think I am doing the same things here that I did previously when that one worked...

I've read in previous post that you should wait a little bit for the subdomain to resolve correctly, but I'm not sure...

    Thank you..

that does make sense now that you mention it.. I guess jaguars own inhouse dns needs to update before it will resolve, probably.

Well, just post it if the subdomain starts working in the next few hours

Be patient and wait for your subdomain name to kick in. It's just like a domain name. It takes time --- a lot of time. While you're waiting, read this :
