    New domain name and subdomains

    Hi,

I've recently acquired a new domain name that I want to use instead of my old one. However, the new one is in the .nl TLD and is bound to certain restrictions, one of them being that they won't change the nameservers, because that would mean the registrar doesn't hold the technical responsibility for the domain name anymore. They can make changes to the DNS however.

The new domain name is already linked to the IP-address of my site, so if you enter the new url, I do arrive at my site. The only thing that doesn't work, are subdomains. Could this be solved by parking the new domain name?

If you want to use subdomains with your site, you need to point your domain to the nameservers provided by jaguar.. Otherwise, you won't get things like pop3 accounts and subdomains working properly.

If you can't change your DNS servers, I would open a support ticket asking for help on how you should set up the DNS on the servers you have to use. Support will be able to give you the settings that you need to make sure that your subdomains and mail work properly.
