time/date stamp in autoresponders

I would like to know if there is a way to add the current time or date in the body of an email sent using an autoresponder. For example,

Thanks for contacting us. We received your submission on 4/12/03/. Someone will....

If this is possible will someone please let me know how to do it?

I'd love to find out if this is possible, too! Are there any variables that can be included in the body of the autoresponder text? I've done searches in the forums, but this message was the closest I got to what I'm trying to do...

I'd like to use my autoresponder as a time-stamped receipt.
