    Question Accessing a subdomain

I have created a sub-domain using the CP and I am currently waiting for the ??? to recognize it. I am patient .

So my main site is let say a.com and my sub somain will be subdomain.a.com when recognized (1 day or 2 after I've created it with the Control Panel, IF everything goes well.

Now to my question. Can I have another internet name (let's say for example abc.com) responded by my sub domain : subdomain.a.com ?

If possible, how do I go about it ?

    Dan

    Dan,
Have a look at this. Mine took more than 48 hrs for the DNS to resolve.

    Dan,

What you want is known around here as a domain pointer or multi-hosted domain. The thread TeeJay mentioned should tell you everything you need to know. If not, just ask and someone will be happy to help you out.

    Thanks to both of you.

As of 12:30 am my sub domain is now recognized and I can now access it in my browser by typing:

    subdomain.maindomain.com.

I have now gone to my registrar (who is not jaguar or aletia) and have the subdomain DNS point to NS.JAGUARPC.NET nad NS2.JAGUARPC.NET respectively.

I will now open a ticket to ask jaguar to complete the cycle and be able to access the subdomain directly:

    ie: www.subdomain.com

I'll post as new events happen...

The subdomain will be sitting in a subdirectory by the same name, i.e.andare the same thing. I know it seems higley digley, but that's the way it is set up.

So, to upload the site to your domain, look for a subdirectory in your / directory by that name.
