Anyone care to chime in with some critiques?
It's not nearly done, but I was hoping to catch any crappiness while it's early.

Slight edit:

For index2, I moved the date to the top, making a single peice of the header a bg in its own seperate table. This should avoid cramping, (wednesday caused the line to become 2 lines because it was too long).

You misspelled "concieved"...

I agree with Matt. The image is a bit murky for my tastes, though perhaps that is in keeping with what looks like will be darker content. Also the barcode.jpg image in the lower left hand corner is showing up just as an image placeholder right now.
BTW, did you correct "conceived" after Vin's comment? "I" before "e" except after "c", with a few exceptions, like ancient.

gotta love English![]()
I like the design, the use of colour in the header is well placed and stricking, The image down the bottom is still coming up as a broken image tho.
I think the black lines in the header might work with another colour instead of black possibly the same green used in the image but maybe now, all depends
Nice work

The beauty of other people checking work. I had that pic pointed to something local.

My bad! I should have written "concieved [sic]" instead of simply "concieved." I was using his misspelling of the word as an example. Really...Originally posted by lookout

Anyway, I think your site is okay, but you're mixing two different styles. Mark Twain once (satirically) said something like...But, that isn't the way it works. IMHO you should either go 'all light' or 'all dark.' My recommendation would be, get rid of the black text on the white background. Bold red text on a black background would be more appropriate...If a man stands with one foot in a bucket of ice water and the other in a bucket of boiling water, on the whole (average - vin dsl) he will be comfortable.

Going to have to respectfully disagree with you there, Vin. Red on Black would be hard to read... and although the white background is strong, that is important as I would guess that area is going to contain important content that the visitor should notice.IMHO you should either go 'all light' or 'all dark.' Props for mentioning Mark Twain, though.
