You won't actually have to do anything after they change this for you, if that's what you're worrying about. You just tell them, and they do it. You get more, and you don't have to change anything.

    Some Gotchas

You don't have to do anything --- BUT ---

When I moved, they forgot to move my multihosted domain names and there were a few other snafus but I forget what they were.

that should have nothing to do with the billing plan, in changing billing plans NO account settings should be touched other than your billing level with in CPANEL, they dont have to "move" anything

Whether it should or not, it DID. They DO change CPANEL stuff and they forgot important stuff like multihosts.

you must have gotten, or changed somehting more than Packages, or for what ever reason they had to move your site to a differant server

but just changing packages will not NO effect on multihosts, email or any other settings,

    Dear X,

I think I know a little bit more about my account than you do. All I did was change my old Aletia account to the JAG v200 account. Here are some transcripts in case you want to nitpick some more:

Change Aletia Essential to Jag v200
    Description: User: vbds.com

I'm currently on the Aletia Essential plan. Since the v200 costs the same and seems to add a bit more disk space, I'd like to switch over to that plan.

Can I assume this won't disrupt my current usage, multihosting aliases, etc., email accounts, etc. ?

    Progress/Solution: Hello Robert,
I have upgraded your account from Essentail to v200. Please do get back to me if you need any further assistance.
    Have a nice day! )
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Susy.

Susy, you changed my account from Aletia Essential to v200 but you disabled my SSH login.

Please restore it ASAP. I need to get working again.

    She did not disable it.

It is disabled automatically because SSH access is not available by default in any of our plans.

I have enabled it. You can login now.

    Regards,
    Masood

I changed from the Aletia Essential to the JPC v200 plan yesterday. I see that there are still a few kinks to work out.

I am not getting my email forwarded. The reason: my multihost aliases were not copied over and most of my forwarders don't show up.

These are my multihosted domain names:

    vbds.com itvfan.com vegasxyz.com vegasbeltway.com lasvegasbeltway.com vegasretail.com

I use all but the last two for email addresses.

Please update my aliases and, if you can, restore my forwarders.

When I login to Cpanel the only aliases shown are vbds.com and itvfan.com I had several forwarders for vegasxyz.com and for vegasbeltway.com I just sent a test message to hiking@vegasbeltway.com which is the email for the hiking group I lead. It never got to my mailbox, instead it was misdirected to the "catchall" mailbox account: "vbds"

I can't even add the forwarders that are missing because the aliases don't show up in CPANEL.

    Please fix it.

    Hi Bob,

What happened is when your account was changed to the v200 plan, the control panel theme got changed which created the problem. I have changed it to jaguarpc and the forwarders and all the multihosted domains are being shown correctly now, please do check from your end too. You can add the forwarders yourself now via the control panel.

    Regards,
    Veena

I think your case was unusual Ivardoz, I did exactly the same yet only my SSH access was affected, my multihosted domains, emil etc were unaffected. I specifically checked before switching that nothing would be affected and was told, by masood iirc, that it was a simple change and that the old settings remained unaffected with the exception of SSH.

    G.Bloke,

I certainly HOPE my case was unusual. Nonetheless, it is something to watch out for (dangling preposition noted).

well for awhile JAG had all the Aletia accounts (and probally stilkl do I dont know) showing as it was for a "reseller" a un-branded Cpanel, unlike the "jaguar PC" branded Cpanel, it appears they changed your "theme" which cuased the problem, not the changing of packages.....
