    postnuke problem

    my postnuke site dosn't work anymore (browser answer:can't display the page)
    if I try to upload any file to that folder then the file work but any of the file already present give the same answer: can't display the page.
    mysql is ok and I don't do any modification: the site simply dosn't work anymore.

    Not enough to go on here.

    Someone may be able to help (or at least compare notes) if you post the site name and the server it's on. Or open up a support ticket, and see if you can get the techs to take a quick look for you.

    Hi Forums,

    I seem to be having the same problem as Littlehouse here. My Postnuke website has suddenly conked out on me. I get Server not found error in the browser. My server itself is up, so it is not a DNS/Network error.

    More details:

    * Using PN phoenix-0.7.2.3.

    * Static HTML served fine from my website.

    * PHP works.

    * MYSQL is up.

    * URL: suppressed since problem was fixed -see below (hosted on uranium)

    From an ssh prompt, i did:

    prompt> php index.php > spit.html

    spit.html shows up fine on the browser. The server not found error still occurs in IE.

    I also notified support about this problem. But so far they have not been very helpful. Since this problem also appears to be afftecting other users, I suspect that it is because of some (mis)configuration done by JaguarPC yesterday (April 29).

    Any clues?

    Thanks

    My PN website is up and running again. Support got back to me:

    "There was no modification done to php/MySQL earlier, however it started giving errors due to change in system libraries, so we have compiled it again from new source just a few minutes ago. If there is still any problem, please do provide the URL and steps to reproduce the issue so that we can look into it further."

    The recompile of the libraries did the trick. [However, not before going thru some hoops, including suggesting a PN reinstall; changing my PN MYSQL database passwd without informing me....]

    anyways, all's fine that ends well....

    Hahahahaha! My Nuke site is dead in the water now too. Regular ol' HTML files display fine, but Nuke is dead. Time for a ticket, I guess.
