The following was taken from the Online Manual:
To know if your server has SSL enabled, go to the network page and check below your server's name for a link like the one above.SSL (Secure Pages)
You can secure your website using our 128bit Thwate Super cert.
To secure your site you simply need to access it via
https://secure#.u-build-it.net/~username where the # can represent a number from 1 and up according to which server you are on and username is your main sites username.
For example fo rsite joe.com and your username is joe
http://secure7.u-build-it.net/~joe
If you do not know what secure number to use please contact support to request that information.
Um... if I understand the question correctly, you need to find out what server you are on, then go to the 'Server Status' area of the 'Clients Page'. There you will find out where the shared cert addy is. For instance, in my case...Originally posted by davidstummer

In the clear: http://www.lenon.com/
Secure: https://secure36.nocdirect.com/~lenonco/
I think the addy is different on every server...![]()

Hrm... So, some servers don't have SSL?!?!?! I didn't know that...Originally posted by Toly

Nope, some do not have SSL. When I submitted a ticket to get my server's number, they told me that they would have to move me to another server that has SSL enabled or install one on the server my account is hosted.
Hrm... I wonder what the reasoning on that would be. Oh, well, I learn something new every day. Thanks!

Many (all) of the old Aletia servers haven't got certificates installed, this wasn't a service offered by Aletia and Jaguar have never changed the situation. So thats the explaination you were after![]()
Ah... yes, that makes sense, of sorts. Thanks, bro!

FYI, I know that you said that you didn't want to pay for a cert, but I just wanted to let you know that I just bought one from InstantSSL using Jag's discount - $45/year 128 bit, and took about 1/2 hour.
If you are accepting credit cards, it definitely looks better to the end user to use https://secure.yourdomain.com rather than https://secure36.nocdirect.com/~yourlogin/. If you can get $45 in profit because of it, you are even.
