Redirect subdomain to gameserver IP

We would like to redirect a subdomain name to a gameserver IP so that players can connect to the game using the subdomain name. Is this possible?

That's not possible with jaguar.. You will need to buy a special DNS package from another company to be able to redirect subdomains to certains IP Address.

Actually, if you open a support ticket and ask, I'm sure they'll manually add the record to your DNS zone for you. They're pretty good about handling special requests like that.

Actually, if you only need URL redirection, you can do it from control panel:
1. Go to "subdomains"
2. Add subdomain
3. Use Setup Redirection to define destination URL.
That's it

But I think LandShark is lokking to get an "A Record" set up for a different IP. Redirection would only work if the game is running over HTTP, which it doesn't sound like it is.

No, Jaguar can only redirect to an http protocol. I was able to define subdomain nameservers at the registrar and redirect to the gameserver IP's directly from there.
