    Problems with X-Antiabuse

When sending from my acount's POP accounts I notice the following tags in the email headers:

X-AntiAbuse: This header was added to track abuse, please include it with any abuse report
    X-AntiAbuse: Primary Hostname - falcon.nocdirect.com
    X-AntiAbuse: Original Domain - xxxxxx.edu
    X-AntiAbuse: Originator/Caller UID/GID - [0 0] / [0 0]
    X-AntiAbuse: Sender Address Domain xxxxxxxxxxxxx.org

Seems like most email browsers would normally hide the tags, but not so in Eudora which displays them in the body. Is there any way to disable these tags from being sent? Is this a global-not-under-my-control issue?

    Thanks for any help!

Wow, I haven't seen any threads on this topic in a while! The forums used to have several active threads about these headers.

Basically, though, if I remember correctly, those are one of those things that CPanel adds and there's nothing you can do to get rid of them...

    Also a Eudora user

I think the problem is not Eudora necessarily but that the headers are in the wrong place. Eudora expects to process headers in a certain order and the anti-abuse X headers added by CPanel are right at the end ... not sure if I'm right here, its just a hunch.

I agree its a pain, it looks unprofessional for one, I'm hoping that things will change with the launch of HostGUI.

It may be that Eudora doesn't know how to handle "X" headers correctly. Generally any non-standard headers are prepended with an X. Many mail clients and servers add their own headers for internal tracking. My mail client, for example, has some forms (such as a telephone message) that you can send to other users of the smae software. The form itself isn't sent, just the data you enter, and an X header is added to identify the particular form that the message data should be put into when the message is read.

It probably only has a limited set of headers that it understands and then anything else it displays to the user. I'm not sure why it would do that, though. It doesn't make much sense to me.
