    Cool Site has been down

AGA hawaii has been down. I get this apache server software message. Really bizzare. Gee, I recently gave a personal testimony about how great Jagpc was. I don't think the visitors who try to access our site will believe me anymore.

    Aloha from Hawaii.,

The surf's up on the North Shore, just wished that was the same for our site. I posted a ticket about our problem before posting to the support forum. I read about a similar situation from user craig1.

I read the posting and it was greek (actually hawaiian) to me. Don't mind me, its 5:25 am and the neural nodes are still sleeping.

What did you say in your personal testimony?

Well, it's done now. Hopefully it hasn't been down from the time you posted this and the time I'm posting this message cause then it'll be around 6 hours minus the 3 minutes.

Then that's below then the 99.7% uptime they guarantee. But hey, who's counting?

They will just say it's out of their hand as always. And not honor their guarantee's and stuff. That's what they've been doing lately and in the past.

Or, they'll say, " the server has been up. We noticed no downtime. Must be your side/ISP. "

we dont have a agahawaii.org or agahawaii.com . The account was more than 6 months past due. We unsuspended it after our last IM when we were told a payment was sent. After two more months we had no choice.

    Unhappy Payment was submitted

    Dear Jag support,

I talked to our treasurer this morning. We have a email confirmation of our payment for 6 months of service. It was sent to your old address.

    Cool Responding to unauthorized shutdown

    Dear Jaguarpc,
I just got off the phone with our treasurer. We have requested a copy of the cancelled check from First Hawaiian Bank in Honolulu. As per the information from our treasurer, the check was deposited on May 2, 2003. His cash reconciliation shows the liquidation of the check as per his check register.

If your organization took note "AGAhawaii" represents the following: Association of Government Accountants Hawaii Chapter. As accountants we take upon ourselves the watchdog responsiblity to ensure and to audit such financial statements in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles.

We will forward a scanned copy of the check upon receipt of such from the bank. I will not jump to any conclusions other than the fact that the check was deposited. We expect a speedy response from your organization due in fact that our organization was not negligent in this matter.

    Sincerely,
    greg lee

A man walking along a road in the countryside comes across a shepherd and a huge flock of sheep. Stopping to rest, he tells the shepherd, "I will bet you $100 against one of your sheep that I can tell you the exact number in this flock."

The shepherd thinks it over. It's a big flock, so he takes the bet. "973," says the man.

The shepherd is astonished, because that is exactly right. The shepherd says "OK, I'm a man of my word, take an animal." The man picks one up and begins to walk away.

"Wait," cries the shepherd, "let me have a chance to get even. Double or nothing that I can guess your exact occupation."

    The man agrees.

"You are an accountant for the government," says the shepherd.

"Amazing!" responds the man. "You are exactly right! But tell me, how did you deduce that?"

"Well," says the shepherd, "put down my dog and I will tell you."

It has nothing to do with his site being shut down for non-payment. Neither does his surfing analogies.

I dunno. Does this thread make any sense to you? It sounds like some former disgruntled customer coming over here to stir the pot. I don't believe any of this for one minute.

Have you ever known an accountant. They have the personality of a tick. I think that's the moral of the above story. They certainly aren't inclined to log on to a public web site and be garulous...

I beleive that account was on a semi-annual term, first past due note was way back in aug(ish) of last year. Its odd that I actually recall a specific client but I think the unique name and the fact we have few clients pay by check made this stick. Email us with the domain name, the email contact that used to be on file and any copies of invoices or anything you have that might make searching for this easier.

please contact us off the board, its not appropriate to continue a billing issue here.
