Dear Jaguarpc,
I just got off the phone with our treasurer. We have requested a copy of the cancelled check from First Hawaiian Bank in Honolulu. As per the information from our treasurer, the check was deposited on May 2, 2003. His cash reconciliation shows the liquidation of the check as per his check register.
If your organization took note "AGAhawaii" represents the following: Association of Government Accountants Hawaii Chapter. As accountants we take upon ourselves the watchdog responsiblity to ensure and to audit such financial statements in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles.
We will forward a scanned copy of the check upon receipt of such from the bank. I will not jump to any conclusions other than the fact that the check was deposited. We expect a speedy response from your organization due in fact that our organization was not negligent in this matter.
The Association of Government Accountants is a national/international organization of approximately 12,000+ professionals within the U.S. and abroad. This organization has as some of its most distinguished members, Attorney General John Ashcroft and Director Thomas Ridge of the Department of Homeland Security.
This posting was made in an effort to clear our name and restore the reputation and dignity of our organization. We have treated others fairly and we expect to be treated likewise.
Sincerely,
greg lee
AGA Hawaii Website Coordinator
P.S. Please reference check # 140 from the Association of Government Accountants - Hawaii Chapter
