    Domain Has Not Propagated

My domain my hasn't propagated and I signed up well over a week ago ... July 01, 2003. I hear it usually takes from 24 - 72 hours, wonder what could be wrong? Already submitted a ticket, no answer yet.

I have already uploaded files to my site, and I can get there with the IP address Aletia provided, however, when I try to open http://www.stonebeetle.com/ in IE it tells me the site does not exist. It does not tell me I have DNS problems, just that the domain doesn't exist at all.

Did you update the records at your domain name registrar to point
    to the domain?

It looks as if your name was never registered. You can see this here:

    http://www.interbrite.com/prodserv/d...tonebeetle.com

AFAIK, JPC does the domain registrations manually when you ask to have them register your name when you sign up for hosting. I'd open a support ticket and ask about it.

Your browser goes looking for a domain. It either finds something or it doesn't. It has no way to know if there is a problem with the name resolving or if it deosn't exist at all, thus the vague message. If you want I can go into details about the whole DNS system, but I'd hate to bore you with the intricate details...

Good luck getting this issue resolved (no pun intended).

Yes, I had aletia register the domain for me when I signed up. I also just tried to log back into the ticket system looking for an answer from aletia. I used my "client" username and password as before ... nothing happened. It just kept telling me that the username is often the same as your domain name, which I entered ... several times. I wonder what gives???

    Hi Steve,

The ticketing system has been upgraded to a new one, so you would need to use your billing information username/password to login here.

Please try and see. Also if you had asked us to register the domain name for you and if you have asked us to charge you for the same, then please do mail sales@jaguarpc.com with the info and order id number.

Else if you want to do this yourself, you can create a free login at aletianic.com and then purchase this domain name and set its nameservers to ns.jaguarpc.net and ns2.jaguarpc.net and everything will resolve fine in 24 hours.
