the DNS was fine, but the server was down... I was able to resolve my domain to my IP address, but I didn't get a reply from the server.

hmm, I couldn't even do an nslookup on my site, nocdirect.com, jaguarpc.com, or aletia.com. Everything is back up and fine now.
When I can't reach the jag server, I always wonder if the plug was pulled and the office doors were shut. I've seen it happen before - Everything fine one day, then poof host gone.
