    Forum time is off again

No big deal, but apparently something's screwy again with the forum server clock. It's suddenly about 3 hours off. Last weekend it jumped forward for a time and then back, messing up the posting sequence in a thread or two. What's up?

It's not me, BTW. I have always had the GMT offset set properly to my time zone under my forum user panel.

Still off by 3 here, Julian, but one of the extra hours is probably due to Daylight Savings Time, observed by most of us in the U.S.A.

Is this really an issue? I mean really an issue?

It's not a big deal, as I originally stated, but I expect it's VERY easily fixed. Having the correct timestamp on posts can be a useful piece of information to some of us for a number of reasons. I wouldn't even bring it up if the server time was off by a few minutes, or even an hour (due to DST), but 2 hours or more definitely merits a comment.

I get a kick out of time. It's all times of day and night, and all seasons of the year, somewhere on earth, all at the same time, as we speak. I guess I don't understand how a clock on the internet can be "off." Wouldn't it all depend?

    Hrm...

Time is interesting. I never drink before 5:00 PM, but it is always
after 5:00 PM somewhere, I think. Anyway that has always been my Thinking.

Not only do the times get off on the forum, Time also get off on the servers our sites are on.

    Vin, go have a "Red Dog". . . . . While I enjoy my "Rocky Mountain Cool-Aid"..
