    Question horde imp local install

Has anyone set up horde / imp on their own account (i.e. not using jaguar's setup so it can be run on your own on port 80) ?

I am considering doing so, but it seems to require a large amount of server/ program interaction (i.e. it requires configuration and changes to files I can't touch (httpd config files etc)...

any ideas / suggestions / experiences to share ?

I haven't ever tried to set up horde, so I can't speak for it, but you can often add the stuff it wants you to add to files like httpd.conf to your site's .htaccess files. Sometimes you have to change the way you do them a little bit to get them to work (and other times that just isn't possible), but usually you can get it to work in some way.

I'm using horde with chora successfully here:

Believe me, it was tough setting it up. You don't need to make any changes to the httpd.conf file at all, but if you do, "horde/chora" doesn't show up in the URL.
