well it comes with CPanel, and I dont recommend installing it

get the full MS2 release and install it, better Software, more current, and very easy to install

How easy is it to migrate, if you've already started using the CPanel one?

depends on what you wanting to mirgate,

I would have to look and see for sure which snap shot they are using in cpanel to tell you if there were any dbase changes

what exactly are you wanting to mirgate and I will tell you how hard it will be

The most important thing would be to know what the dbase changes are. Although, I have hacked up the CPanel one's code under the hood quite a bit so far. The code hacks I can probably recreate without too much trouble. But, if there are significant differences in the dbase structure, it might be more of a pain than it's worth.

Do you know where I can find out the snapshot version of the CPanel one? ie. if there is a file somewhere that stores the version number. I haven't been able to find one or find info that points to where the file should be.

    Thanks for the help!

I dont think there is a file that shows whioch snapshot your using, since that is just a CVS download on a daily basis..

you can use the version number on the top of each file and then go the the OSC CVS server and see how old that file is, but some pages have not been changed in a LONG time, the old "if it aint broke dont fix it" thing

but i am pretty sure there are a few security holes inh the cpanel version, if they are using anything older than MS1 I would recommend switching out even if you have to start from scratch, because there have been alot of security inhancments and such, as well as a hole new checkout process

plus if it is hacks your adding, save some time and use the Loaded Version, www.phesis.co.uk
