    MS SQL Pricing

I've been trying to get this answered for a while, now I need it ASAP.

One of our clients wants to move its server to Jaguar. I already got all the information I needed except for the price of:

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Web Edition

Unfortunately, Microsoft pricing is very confusing:
    http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2...s/pricing.aspx

This link explains how it can be bought:
    http://weblogs.asp.net/nannettethack...b-edition.aspx

    Anyway, I wan to know:

    1) If you offer MS SQL 2008 Web edition.
    2) How much would it cost?
    3) Can I buy it by myself and just pass the license along?
    4) They rather lease it, but MS do not offer the option to final clients.

Seriously, I've been trying to get this info since yesterday by phone (after few rings, send me to voicemail), email (no answer), chat (answered all my questions but this one). This is my last resort because I need to pass all the info TODAY.

    Thanks.

No, our MS vendor does not offer it.

    2) How much would it cost?
    N/A

    3) Can I buy it by myself and just pass the license along?
If you buy it you could install it on your server/vps yourself or our techs could install it.

    4) They rather lease it, but MS do not offer the option to final clients.

These are the prices I have from our MS vendor.
    Microsoft SQL Workgroup $130/month
    Microsoft SQL Standard GNAX $450/month
    Microsoft SQL Enterprise $1750/month

If Im not mistaken web editions are actually free versions , but MS licensing recently changed and I dont think you can use it for commercial purposes.
