GigaDeal -> Longhorn

How is upgrading going to work? I've paid for a year of Gigadeal.

You can take your pick. You either stay at Gigadeal for as long as you like - you'll simply be billed again for that at the end of your year. Or you can upgrade to any package current at time of upgrade - Longhorn right now - in which case the part of your payment you have not yet enjoyed services for is credited to that new package.

Question Why wouldn't you upgrade?

It's been a long time since I visited the Jaguar site, mainly because my site has run with no problems, which is a good thing. But when I did visit I noticed the new longhorn deal. My question to this post is why would anyone not change to longhorn from gigadeal (which is what I still have since I did not know about longhorn). ? It seems like a much better package for the same price, or am I missing something that I would be loosing by switching?

It's a dollar or two more expensive/month than the Giga...time to break that piggie.

My annual GigaDeal is going to expire in the next few details, and as Longhorn is only something like $10 extra it seems a good idea to upgrade for all the extra space it provides.

It looks like everything will be the same or better and so there are no downsides, but... My account goes back to Aletia days so I still have a dedicated IP which is quite a useful thing to have, will I still keep that or will I lose it?

Thanks,

Michael.

Be sure to tell them you want to keep your dedicated IP and that you don't want to pay for it since you've had it since Aletia days, they should be accommodating.

piper,

I would advise opening a ticket, and talk to the sales department about it, we tend to take care of our longterm clients
