Clientexec Update

Could clientexec 4.2.1 be uploaded to the server where clientexec is held.

I was wondering if Clientexec automatically updated if it was installed with your server, and part of your package, or is it considered 3rd party and you have to upgrade it yourself?

I upgraded mine today, very easy upgrade I might say as well. Copied the files over, and ran the install/upgrade script. found out that I had to delete some of the older plugins, but after I deleted those, it upgraded/installed without any problems.

I had the 4.09 version, and the new one is 4.3.1. WOW, what a difference. Lots of changes, and it seems to run much faster/smoother.

Anyone else? What do you think?

With Clientexec, the upgrades need to be done manually, and isn't something that is done automatic. I don't believe they have yet implemented an automatic update system, although it would be something convenient - to prompt and ask to download and update itself. However like you experienced, it's definitely an easier task to accomplish.
