Question Ram upgrades for dedicated servers

    There's only two options:

    • Extra Ram : None
    • RAM - 2 GB( $35.00 - Setup Fee) : $15.00

How about a few more options like, 4gb, 6gb and 8gb etc...

I just went to upgrade my ram with 4gb and there is no option... only 2gb.

Please e-mail me at zach(@)jaguarpc.com and I'll see what I can do. The ram upgrade depends on the configuration.

Thanks for the feedback, though... Can we use reward points for the added ram and installation?

Hey MJF, gonna give your server a significant Boost? I would be interested to see if you notice performance increase, etc.

Maybe you can let us know after it is installed, etc.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

My understanding is reward points can only be used on new services and not upgrades. If you shoot me an e-mail with your client id i'll be happy to review your configuration and invoice you for the 4 GB extra ram.

We are steadily improving the order process. The new system in development addresses dedicated server upgrades and servers in general. We would like it listing in real time servers available for immediate setup, bargin bin servers, and a larger variety of upgrades like you mentioned. It's risky to put too many upgrades on there since some would be over max ram if we add larger options, ie an i2500 with 8gb and then having another 8, 12, 16gb addon option. The board may have just 4 slots and 2 or even 4 in use with 8gb ram, upgrading it means entire different ram sticks, ie 4x4gb, etc which are much more expensive than 4x2gb , etc.

And it gets really costly at the registered ram xeon levels, and complicated since some systems then support 48+ gb ram
