Difference Virtuosso and Plesk?

Since they both look alike and have some of the same features what exactly is the difference between them? What are either intended to provide you with? What can you do from one that you can't do from the other? Why should I use one to do something instead of the other?

They look spiffy and all but this is all kinds of confusing...

Virtuzzo is a VPS control panel, well it is more than a control panel. It is the whole software which allows the creation of the VPS and management. It also provides the Power Panel which is used to admin VPS's etc

Plesk is by the same company but is for webhosting, similar to cpanel but with much better eye candy and usability. Not a personal favourite of mine but neither is cpanel. In my opinion Plesk is better than cpanel but then everyone has their opinions.

You wouldnt have one or the other really. With virtuoozo installed we create virtual private servers and you can do some basic stuff using the virtuozzo power panel.

If you want more gui control over things like adding domains, accounts, users, managing websites, etc you will need a control panel added to your vps (already running virtuozzo) . Plesk, cpanel, directadmin, and interworx are just some of the control panels you could install or have us install.

Plesk will be more effecient on a virtuozzo vps than cpanel. Cpanel is probably more popular and just widely accepted as the default in webhosting.
