My vps is in neptune and it's down since last 1 hour. Is your vps also hosted in neptune?
I raised a ticket, which was assigned immediately. But no update of status available.

Yes, I have one VPS in Neptune too...down since last 1 hour 22 minutes.
It's more than one hour that they are working on it. No feedback on the expected time-frame though.
Hello,
Sorry but I need to know what the server back up prevision is ? Down since last 2 hours...
Thanks
Support must update News about the status of the server every hour with expected time to recover. This would atleast help us to intimate our clients in return.
"no news is good news" -- this is not always true.![]()
It's down for more than 4 hours now.
I understand that servers can go down anywhere. But any good DC will put up the server with a back-up machine. I don't think any small web hosting company can afford to have their server down for this long time.
I post my phone and mobile numbers (and I answer them) and IMs, my clients ask one simple question: "how long will it take?". I can't answer them: "I don't know!".
Server going down sometimes, is acceptable. But, not updating the status or announcing the expected time to be up is definitely a job of an irreponsible service provider.

Maybe you rather ask this in a support ticket, instead of a forum where they might not even see it. I can imagine JPC doesnt tell you WHEN its fixed, as they probably do not know that by now. If they would tell you its fixed in a hour, and it is still down, i know allready what you say then.
Just wondering, A backup machine is awfull expensive, are you willing to pay ,twice the price you pay now, for this kind of service ?
Kindest regards,
Patrick
Well, it's not restricted to post this in forum though. (it's good of JPC.)
Back-up machine is not asked for my vps account. It's kept reserved to be used when a server goes down.
I'm experiencing FTPd, Spamd and POPd failures to the tune of 7-10 times in a day since last 7 days and I have constantly in touch with the support people, who always said that there was no problem.
I think their back-up software creates the most trouble because those servers failed during midnight. And, I'm sure JPC is aware of this as it was discussed in some other posts here too!

Now is 11 Pm in Vietnam . I'm very impatient and I hope all is OK soon.I'm a customer of JaguarPC and i loading to check my VPS every 10 minutes . I know that all technical of JaguarPC are working very hard now.
Goodluck

It's more than 1:30 hours since Les posted last update. Expecting another update saying something, "your VPSs will be up soon..."
Let's go for meditation...my BP is rising like anything when I see ping response "Request timed up" ...
I'm also having those problems. They had once wrongly suspended my VPS because they thought it was the cause of CPU high loads when in fact it is their backup system.Originally Posted by EssEss

In my 6 years of hosting experience, my servers never went down for more than 30 minutes. This is my first VPS though. I had dedicated and reseller accounts previously.
The last leg is the longest indeed....took atleast 1 hour (till now) to measure...
Hope that it doesn't go back to square 1 with a post, something like "there were problem, so we started from the beginning...please wait for another 12 hours...thanks for your (extra) patience..."
God help us!
Are there only 4 neptune users? Why all are so silent? Are your vpss up by now?
