    RAM usage

    Hi
I'm looking a way to check how much RAM I am using, to see if i'm ok with my 256, or I need more.
But in Control Panel or by ssh with "cat /proc/meminfo" I only get information of the TOTAL RAM of all the node.

Isn't there a way to check how much RAM my vps is consuming?

    Thanks in advance

Can you install/use the "top" command?
OR the vmstat command (although this may just use the /proc/meminfo file, along with a few others).

    Sorry I'm not much help.
    Good luck.

I can use Top command, but this is the info I get
    Code:
    Mem: 8295232k total, 7563444k used, 731788k free, 663104k buffers
    Swap: 8193140k total, 828484k used, 7364656k free, 2383292k cached
    It's also the total memory

    vmstat
    Code:
procs -----------memory---------- ---swap-- -----io---- --system-- ----cpu----
r b swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id wa
     4 0 828484 745556 663712 2388584 0 0 0 0 0 392 22 7 66 6
    Isn't that the same?

I found the answer at webhostingtalk, so i'll post it just in case someone has the same doubt

Ok, I'm guessing it you are using Virtuozzo. So log in to your power panel.

Go to 'Resources' located under VPS Management.

Click the 'Extended' button. Click 'Auxiliary UBC Parameters'.

You should now see an extended area. Within 'privvmpages' you should see your soft limit. Divide this by 1024 to gain your RAM in megabytes.
Now I have 103,166 in "Current Use" and 250,000 as hard and soft limit

But that number is incorrect, that is the burstable memory as far as i know, you need to get the : oomguarpages if i am correct, not totally sure, but with my VPS that gives the correct number.
