I just signed up on jagpc, I was ordering SSL certificate from thawte and its asking me for CSR information

Presuming your using apache and openssl, if you want to be certain, ask support.

I find it easier and less confusing to by my certificates through Jag.

Support can generate the proper CSR for you. Just open a ticket and ask. They'll need some information from you for it, such as the legal business name and location that you want incorporated into the certificate.

I'm not sure, but there may be an installation fee now for certs not purchased through JPC. I seem to remember Jag mentioning that one time.
