Upgrading PHP

Hello, are there any resources/walthroughs any of you have found to help the process of upgrading PHP versions?

This is my first VPS and I have no idea where to start.

Obviously there may be a delay at present due to the problems on the network, but I know support offered to help me whenever I was unsure how to proceed

What o/s are you running? You running a Control Panel?

I run Interworx and i managed to upgrade to php 5.1.2 from a simple command to build a source rpm and install it. On some o/s's you can probably do something like apt-get upgrade or something like that.

Support will probably help but its always better if you learn to do it yourself in my opinion

I'm really starting to like this "full control" thing.
